Relaxound supports the organization “1% for the Planet”

“To positively change the environment with donations from companies.” This is the declared motto of 1% for the Planet. In 2002, the two owners of the clothing company Patagonia founded the international organization and thus make an important contribution to the maintenance of the environment. The network now works with nearly 4,000 audited non-profit environmental protection organizations around the world. Over 1,600 companies are already part of the campaign, including us. Find out more on www.onepercentfortheplanet.com.

With every purchase of a relaxation product from Relaxound, you are helping to make the world a better place – because even small actions make a big difference. What do we specifically support? In Germany we help the Bergwaldprojekt association, which is dedicated to the preservation and care of the forest. Another part of our donations goes to Sadhana Forest – an ecological project to replenish the groundwater reservoirs in India.

BERGWALDPROJEKT

Environmental protection with tradition. Since 1993 the non-profit German association “Bergwaldprojekt” has been committed to forests, moors and other open-air biotopes that are worth protecting. The team of 25 volunteer members works independently, passionately and extremely successfully. Thanks to the committed work of the association, many valuable forest areas have already been replanted across Germany. For example, forests in Amrum, Oberhof or on the Schliersee were reforested. Thanks to the additional help of numerous volunteers, the general public is made aware of how to treat nature in a sustainable manner. Find out more on www.bergwaldprojekt.de.

SADHANA FOREST

Forest means life. Yorit and Aviram Rozin know that too. You have been working on the revitalization of the Indian Sadhana Forest since 2003. On the outskirts of the city of Auroville, the two of them are working with a large team of helpers to convert 70 hectares of heavily eroded and parched land into a living tropical dry forest. The main goal of the project is to support the local villages: The water storage of the soil gives the villagers the opportunity to plant their own food. This prevents migration to urban slums and the resulting impoverishment. Find out more on www.sadhanaforest.org.
