Coral Sonic Resilience_Exciting progress
The project to revive weakened coral reefs has made great progress: the first sound sculptures have been installed on the seabed! They are now being tested, and their effects documented. Prior to this, Berlin-based artist Marco Barotti and the team led by Prof. Marco Patruno and Antonio Beggiato from the BCA Faculty at the University of Padua had to make high-quality sound recordings of healthy reefs. These recordings serve as the foundation for breathing new life into damaged coral reefs through sound.
Coral Sonic Resilience_A new home for corals
Berlin-based artist Marco Barotti is using the power of sound in his latest project, Coral Sonic Resilience, to heal dying coral reefs. With underwater sculptures that emit the sounds of healthy corals, these reefs are infused with new life.
